Mother Nature

The trees are green, the sky is blue,
this won't surprise the likes of you.

And clouds are grey, while snow is white,
won't stir in you the smallest fright.

But when I mention climate change or melting polar ice,
I see a look across your face that isn't all that nice.

The seas will rise, the lowlands flood,
and that could sink your home in mud.

While endless heat will scorch the land,
and blister up your face and hand.

What can we do? Is there's still time? Are running through your mind.
The answers are in front of you - to nature all be kind.

So litter less and don't pollute,
the use of things we must dilute.

And cycle more or share a car,
If your journey is not too far.

For what else will we have to love if we can't save the earth.
As mother nature needs our help and we must prove our worth.
